Seven Die in Accidents in State

VIJAYAWADA / VISAKHAPATNAM:  Seven persons died and 54 were injured in various accidents across the state Friday. One person died and 17 were injured when a private bus, travelling from Hyderabad to Ongole, rammed a stationary lorry at Annavarapadu in Rompicharla mandal of Guntur district. The injured have been shifted to Narasaraopet Area Hospital and the condition of the three persons is said to be serious.

One person died and 20 were grievously injured when a lorry hit a stationary one near Arlagadda in Kurnool district. They belong to Kothathapet in Telangana. A couple travelling in a Maruti car died when the vehicle hit a divider on culvert at Somalaregada stage in Duttaluru mandal of Nellore district. Three more persons in the car sustained injuries. Belonging to Kavali area, Siddik, Asma, Sheikh Bibi Jaan, Rashid and Khadar Bhasha were travelling from Udayagiri to Kavali.

The driver lost control over the vehcile which hit the culvert. Siddik died on the spot and his wife Asma succumbed to injuries in Udayagiri government hospital.
