State Honours for Slain Jawan

VISAKHAPATNAM: Floral tributes were paid to the mortal remains of sepoy Y Bhaskara Rao, who lost his life in a battle accident during an operational recce at Jaisalmer District, Rajasthan. He was serving in 6-Madras Regiment. His body was flown to Visakhapatnam from Delhi.

On arrival at the Naval Air Station, INS Dega Wednesday, full state honours were given to the mortal remains of the jawan and a floral wreath was placed as a mark of respect, with a ceremonial guard of the Navy in attendance. Bhaskara Rao’s funeral will be held at his native place, Chintada, in Srikakulam district.
