VIJAYAWADA: An eighth class girl allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the school building at the Ravindra Bharati School here on Tuesday.
Y Naga Satya Barghavi (13) allegedly took permission from teachers to go to the washroom in the middle of the exam around 2:30 pm but instead went to the terrace of the two-storeyed building and jumped down from there. The school staff rushed only to find Satya Bhargavi lying on the ground in a pool of blood. They shifted her to a nearby hospital but she died even before the treatment started.
However, it is said that she for the past few days had been facing discrimination at school from some teachers leading to mental stress.
