HYDERABAD: The National Mineral Development Corporation Limited (NMDC) is organising a week-long awareness programme on ‘Swachh Bharat’ as per the guidelines received from the Union government.
Subimal Bose, director (production), inaugurated the initiative here on Thursday.
“NMDC is taking up massive construction of toilets in schools in the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibilities activities,” he said, adding that the company would maintain the toilets with the help of locals, NGOs and state government.
Competitions in essay- writing, elocution, quiz, slogan-writing, suggestion and poster were held as part of the awareness programme.
