Unveiling of TTD temple replica today

Maha Samprokshanam ceremony to be performed at the temple between 7:30am and 9am

VIJAYAWADA: The replica temple of Lord Venkateswara, constructed by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) at the PWD grounds here, is all set for inauguration on Sunday.

The Maha Samprokshanam ceremony will be performed at the temple between 7:30am and 9am, before the public darshan of the presiding deity as per Vaikhanasa Agama rituals.

All the arjitha sevas including Suprabatham, Thomala, Archana, Nivedana and Satomura will be performed in Ekantham. Suprabhatam is the first and foremost pre-dawn ritual - the awakening seva of the Lord. This is followed by Thomala when the presiding deity is decked with floral and tulasi garlands. Then follows the Archana when the deity is rendered puja chanting His divine names. Nivedana and Sattumora are performed while offering anna prasadam to the Lord.

Apart from these sevas, the Ekanta Seva will be performed as a closing ritual everyday wherein the replica of Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy is laid on a swing. All these rituals will be performed till the completion of the Krishna Pushkarams.

Everyday, there will be unjal seva of the Lord and His consorts on the well-decked swing in the temple premises. The Pushkara Harati will also be offered everyday at the Padmavathi Ghat.

TTD has also made elaborate arrangements to distribute free food to over one lakh devotees everyday during the Pushkarams. Apart from this, the temple management has also arranged cultural programmes at the replica temple.

The different exhibitions, including photo, flower, museum, ayurveda etc. are going to be the special attraction during the fete. TTD has also arranged a book stall with its publications and CDs.
