Andhra Bank makes special arrangements for pilgrims

VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Bank has been offering a wide of range of services for the pilgrims visiting Vijayawada for the 12-day Krishna Pushkarams, its deputy general manager GSV Krishna Rao said.

Listing out the services offered to the pilgrims on behalf of Andhra Bank, Rao said, as many as one lakh drinking water sachets were offered to the pilgrims at the Pushkar Nagar near Kanakadurga Varadhi. “Mobile ATMs were arranged at Swaraj Maidan, near major bathing ghats and Pandit Nehru Bus Station as well, for the convenience of the pilgrims,” he said.

One lakh eco-friendly covers were distributed among the DWCRA women to supply pooja kits for pilgrims.

This apart, the Andhra Bank also supplied coins of `1, 2, 5 and 10 worth `1 lakh per day over the last six days, after the commencement of pushkarams, he added.
