'SCR not looking for profit during Pushkarams'

VIJAYAWADA: There is no possibility of generating profitable revenues during Pushkarams, as the South Central Railway is spending more on the public, for their easy travelling, without looking for profits. No woman is facing troubles, as the railways made elaborate arrangements like toilets and water taps at all the railway stations, Vijayawada divisional railway manager Ashok Kumar has said.

Ashok Kumar told reporters here Friday that 97 out of 100 trains are arriving on time and also successfully catering to the needs of the crowd.

Sufficient special trains are being operated along with 2,000 added coaches to the existing trains, he pointed out.
