GUNTUR: The South Centrral Railway (SCR) Guntur Division has recorded about 10 lakh passengers travelling by trains during the Krishna Pushkarams held from August 12 to 23 and witnessed 47 per cent of growth more than the corresponding period of last year. During Krishna Pushkarams ,the Guntur Division has recorded Rs 5.27 crore earnings, which is 49 per cent growth more than corresponding period of last year.
The Guntur Division officials said that by operating special trains during, by providing extra counters earned and mobile ticketing vehicle, which was introduced over South Central Railway for first time during Krishna Pushkaram by Guntur division, the services of railways used by the most of the passengers and the same resulted in achieving such growth rate.
