Union Secy reviews welfare schemes

GUNTUR: Union Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, C Viswanath, on Sunday, reviewed with district officials the implementation of various Central sponsored schemes in the district.

Stating that the government was launching several developmental and welfare schemes to provide good governance, he stressed the need for effective implementation of the schemes.  He said that those districts performing well in implementing the central schemes will be honoured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a function in New Delhi on April 21, 2017.

After interacting with the officials, at Zilla Parishad Meeting Hall here, he said a comprehensive report would be drafted on the ground realities in implementation of the central schemes and the same would be submitted to Prime Minister for adding more schemes and also for taking up the needed reforms.

District Collector Kantilal Dande explained to the Union secretary about the progress of Central government schemes in the district through power-point presentation.
