PENUGONDA : Three members of an inter-state burglar gang were arrested at Rapaka village in Penugonda police circle on Saturday and gold ornaments, a car, two motorcycles and four TVs worth `22 lakh were recovered from the trio. 


Disclosing this to newsmen here on Saturday, Narsapuram DSP G Purnachandra Rao said  Penugonda CI Ch Rama Rao and Penumantra SI GJ Prasad apprehended Jakkamsetti Nagaraju (27) of Penumantra, Guttikonda Pavan Kumar (30) of Nuzvid and Avula Kiran Kumar (27) of Hyderabad while they were going in a car. 


The accused committed several burglaries in East, West Godavari and Visakhapatnam districts and in Bellary of Karnataka. Pasupuleti Kiran Kumar, another member of the gang, is at large. Non-bailable warrants are pending against the accused. Pavan Kumar and Nagaraju were convicted earlier, the DSP said.
