VISAKHAPATNAM: THE Andhra Pradesh Fee Regulatory Committee (APFRC) has fixed the fee structure for 273 colleges out of about 350 engineering colleges in the state for the academic year 2016-17. HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that all the details had been posted in the APRFC official website.

Ganta told newsmen here on Sunday that the fee had been set for the 273 colleges and the fee for the remaining colleges would be decided after the second spell of inspection. Based on infrastructure, quality of admission, campus recruitment,  quality of faculty and a few other parameters, the committee has set the fee structure, he said.

The minister also said that there would be random checks by the committee constituted by the Technical Education Commissioner, an officer from higher education, and a professor from university.
