“Unlike the D-Pattas, these present pattas will be free for any financial transaction or can be sold after two years,” Naidu said, while appealing to the beneficiaries not to sell them.

Lauding the efforts of Visakhapatnam district administration for implementation of the initiative, Naidu said that though he had instructed all the district collectors in the state over the distribution of the land pattas, Visakhapatnam did the work fast using technology.

For the programme, the district administration opened 136 counters and engaged some 500 officials to ensure hassle-free distribution of the pattas.
