VISAKHAPATNAM: A 45-year-old armed reserve constable of Visakhapatnam Rural Police died on the spot and his son suffered injuries in a road accident on Sunday when lorry hit the motor bike on which the father and son duo riding near Satteruvu Junction near Anandapuram in the city.
According to police, the deceased has been idetified as GV Ramana Raju. On Sunday, Raju and his son Narendra on a motor bike were travelling to reach his in-laws’s house at Gandhavaram in Padmanabham mandal through Adivivaram route.
When they reached Satteruvu junction, a speeding lorry which was coming in opposite direction hit the bike. Raju died on the spot with severe head injuries and Narendra escaped with injuries and his condition is stable.
The police have registered a case and investigations are on the progress.
