GUNTUR: ‘Ambedkar Ideology Run’ was jointly organised by the Social Welfare and Youth Services and Sports departments in the city on Wednesday to mark the 126th birth anniversary of Father of Indian Constitution.
District Collector Kantilal Dande flagged off the run at the Ambedkar statue at the Lodge centre, which concluded at Babu Jagjivan Ram statue at the Market centre.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector exhorted youth to follow the ideology of Ambedkar and strive for social and economic development the nation. Hundreds of students participated in the run organised to promote the ideology of Ambedkar.
Guntur East MLA Mohammad Mustafa, Joint Director of Social Welfare R Mallikarjuna Rao, Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas Project Director Ali Khan, DSO Chitti Babu and others were present.
