44 Telangana, Andhra Pradesh persons trapped in Riyadh approach Ministry of External Affair for help

As many as 44 persons from TS and AP who are trapped in Saudi Arabia and are suffering atrocities at the hands of their employers, have approached Ministry of External and Oversea.

HYDERABAD: As many as 44 persons from TS and AP who are trapped in Saudi Arabia and are suffering atrocities at the hands of their employers, have approached Ministry of External and Overseas Indian Affairs to pursue their case with Indian Embassy in Riyadh.Most of them hail from Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna, Sircilla, Adilabad, Hyderabad. Because of the atrocities like being made to work for extra hours without being provided enough food, harassment, many complain that they have suffered mental harassment or have taken ill.

Victims and their families have requested the Ministry of External and Overseas Indian Affairs, GOI to pursue the matter with Indian Embassy, Riyadh. The family of Nallagoni Ravindhar Goud has alleged that he is undergoing mental harassment. They have requested for his repatriation. Rajaram Bairi who hails from Veerapur in Karimnagar approached the embassy stating that his employer in Riyadh is not ready to settle his salary and has held him captive as he can’t afford to travel back to India. Mohammad Shabooddin from Medak has also written to the ministry for the same and has also complained that his passport is held by his employer. Some of the other victims are Jakkani Thirupathi from Yergatla, Rekullapelly Srinivas from Poddur and Masapatri Raju from Gumiriyal village.
