GUNTUR: GMC Commissioner Ch Anuradha has called upon the students to contribute their mite to develop greenery in the city. The GMC organised awareness programme on promotion of greenery in the city for school students, at Venkateswara Vignan Mandir here on Thursday.The GMC chief exhorted the school managements to form eco clubs to enable students take part in plantation drive. She advised the students to keep their classrooms and school premises clean. She said that the GMC is aiming to attain top rank in Swachh Survekshan.

Dr. KVSG Murali Krishna, principal, University College of Engineering, JNTUK, Narasaraopet, GMC Additional Commissioner K Ramachandra Reddy, MHO Ch Sobha Rani, AP National Green Core coordinator D Tirupathi Reddy and others were present.
