Employees ‘Chalo Delhi’ on March 2

VIJAYAWADA: With the aim to pressurise the Centre to abolish the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), employees under the banner of State Government Employees’ Federation announced to take out ‘Chalo Delhi’ programme on March 2.


During a meeting organised here on Friday, Krishna district employees’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) chairman A Vidyasagar said that the implementation of CPS was causing troubles for the employees, as they could not get facilities like minimum pension, gratuity and General Provident Fund. 


Demanding both the Centre and State governments to lift the CPS, he said that they will not hesitate to intensify the protests in case of the governments not considering the issue.


Meanwhile, Krishna district employees JAC announced to support P Ashok Babu and his panel in the upcoming elections for employees State JAC.

Stating that Ashok Babu’s sincere efforts yielded results in terms of employees getting better health scheme package and release of DA, the district JAC leaders took the decision in favour of Ashok Babu.
