VIJAYAWADA:Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Anna Satram Committee will organise annual ‘Brahmotsavam’ at Buddha Vari Sivalayam at Brahmin Street, One Town in the city from February 22 to 28.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, committee president Bayana Hareswara Rao said that to mark ‘Maha Sivarathri’ on February 24, celestial wedding for the processional deities of Bhramaramba Malleswara Swamy will be organised in a grand manner.
On February 26, city police commissioner Gautam Sawang will flag off the annual ‘Rathotsavam’, the celestial chariot procession of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy from Ratham Centre.
‘Kolatam, ‘Puli Veshalu’ and ‘Lambada’ dances will be held during the ‘Rathotsavam’. The temple officials are expecting large number of devotees for the fete.
Kalyan Ratha and Pushpa Yagam to the processional deities of Bhramaramba Malleswara Swamy, Bhadrakali Veerabhadra Swamy and Ganga Parvathi Sametha Vasantha Malleswara Swamy will also be held in connection with the festival.
Committee vice-president Nandipati Narayana Rao, V Prasad, M Venkata Subba Rao and D Shankar Rao were present.
