VISAKHAPATNAM : Two militia members of Pedabayalu Area Committee of the banned CPI (Maoists) surrendered before the Rural police at Paderu of Visakhapatnam agency on Monday.
Identified as Korra Appa Rao (40) and Korra Chinna Rao (25) are natives of Mandibha area of G Madugula mandal in Visakhapatnam agency.
According to sources, the militia members surrendered before the deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Paderu, M Mahendra Mate on Monday morning.
The DSP said that the duo had joined the outfit about two years ago and were involved in five offences. The members said that they were fed up with the Maoist ideology.
