HYDERABAD: The High Court has stayed the GO issued by the Telangana government on June 24 this year repatriating nine medical officers working in the state AYUSH department to the state of Andhra Pradesh based on their nativity.

Justice M S Ramachandra Rao passed this interim order on a batch of petitions filed by Dr Mohd Ateeq Ahmed Khan and other medical officers seeking suspension of GO No.105 issued by the department of medical, health and family welfare on June 24, 2017 and their retention in their present work place (Telangana state) with all consequential benefits.

The judge, while staying the impugned GO, made it clear that TS cannot treat the medical officer’s post as a zonal post and repatriate the petitioners to AP on the ground that they had earlier worked in AP.
