GUNTUR: A team of doctors of Lalitha Super Specialty Hospital has successfully reattached the severed palm of a man by performing a complicated surgery. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Dr PV Raghava Sarma, managing director of Lalitha Super Specialty Hospital, said the left palm of G Ravi (34), a lorry cleaner of DS Nagar, was accidentally severed in a sawmill on Wednesday. 

After preserving the palm, his relatives brought him to Lalitha Hospital. A team of specialist doctors comprising I Maruthi Prasad, SV Sivaramakrishna, BK Sahu, Sudha and Anand, reattached the palm after performing a complicated surgery which took several hours.  

After the surgery, he is able to move four fingers of the left hand. However, he is facing some difficulty to move the little finger which would be treated, Dr Raghava Sarma said.
