VISAKHAPATNAM: Even after the end of the sessions for receiving complaints, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the government to probe into the alleged land irregularities in Vizag accepted a plea from BJP MLA P Vishnukumar Raju on Saturday. 

The SIT had announced that the complaints receiving sessions closed on July 20. But, after a special request from the BJP MLA, the SIT officials accepted his pleas. After submitting the complaint, the MLA said that he had submitted a report on various land irregularities including the one related to more than 400 acres at Mudapaka in Pendurthy mandal. 

“In the name of VUDA land pooling scheme, records for 41 acres in Chittivalasa of Bhimili mandal have been tampered with. Irregular entries have been  made in the records pertaining to 145 acres at Rajavaram in Payakarao Peta.” He added that he has submitted evidence too. 

“I have submitted evidence for the land irregularities occurred in Madhavadhara and other places worth hundreds of crores,” the MLA said. Meanwhile, several victims are coming to submit complaints to the SIT office. After the closure of the receiving date, many people were seen roaming at the collectorate and SIT office to submit grievances. On Friday and Saturday, many submitted complaints pertaining to the irregularities at Chintagatla of Pendurthi and Bhimili mandals, an SIT official said.
