Digital token system soon to avoid queue at government offices in Andhra

In yet another citizen-friendly measure to avoid serpentine queues at the government offices, digital token system will be introduced soon, said joint collector G Srijana.  

VISAKHAPATNAM: In yet another citizen-friendly measure to avoid serpentine queues at the government offices, digital token system will be introduced soon, said joint collector G Srijana.  

“This system was previously introduced at five ration shops in the last two months. According to the response from the beneficiaries, a few changes will be made in the system which will be implemented at another 10 shops soon,” the joint collector told the media here. Following the direction of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to ensure effective service delivery system, the administration have has taken up the initiative in Visakhapatnam, she said.

The system was introduced at the Mee Kosam-Prajavani programme, for the petitioners who attend the Grievance Day. To make the queue management much easier, Tag Tree, an organisation, has provided the technical support for the system.

“The system will help people save time. We will put in efforts to introduce the same at hospitals, transport offices and other government offices too,”she said.
