91 percent candidates qualify APPGECET

The results of Andhra Pradesh Post-Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test- 2017 (APPGECET) were released by HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao at YVS Murthy Auditorium, Andhra University.

VISAKHAPATNAM: The results of Andhra Pradesh Post-Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test- 2017 (APPGECET) were released by HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao at YVS Murthy Auditorium, Andhra University, here on Monday.

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has entrusted Andhra University to conduct the APPGECET and this year the test was conducted in 49 centres.  

Out of 32,323 candidates who applied for the APPGECET,  29,012 appeared for the test. The total number of candidates qualified in the entrance test is 26,677 (91.95 per cent). 

The notification inviting applications from eligible candidates seeking admission into M Tech/M Pharmacy courses was issued on March 1, 2017 and the tests were conducted from May 10-12. 

The 14 branches include Aerospace, Geo-engineering and geo-informatics, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology and Pharmacy.

EAMCET counselling to begin from June 7
Ganta Srinivasa Rao while declaring the results said that the Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) counselling would begin on June 7. AU Vice-chancellor G Nageswara Rao, registrar Uma Maheshwara Rao, Technical Education Commissioner GS Panda Das, APPGECET Convener PS Avadhani were present during the occasion.lts are available at www.sche.ap.gov.in, www.andrauniversity.edu.in. The candidates can download rank cards from May 25.
