Decomposed body found in house

Mystery shrouds death of an unidentified woman whose body was found lying in suspicious circumstances in a house at Ganapathi Nagar here on Monday. The police suspect that she might have died four or five days ago.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Mystery shrouds death of an unidentified woman whose body was found lying in suspicious circumstances in a house at Ganapathi Nagar here on Monday. The police suspect that she might have died four or five days ago.


According to Gajuwaka inspector Emmanuel Raju, when bad odour emanated from a house in their area, the locals informed the police. On breaking the doors open, the police found body of a woman in 40s. Police said that it was completely decomposed and beyond recognition. 


Police said that a couple had been living in the same house for many years now. As per the locals, they were not seen for the last four to five days. As per preliminary investigation, the police suspect that it could be the body of the tenant’s wife or  that of someone else’s.


“The husband might have murdered his wife or could be some other woman. Right now we are not able to identify the body. If we pick up the husband/person living in the house, there could be a breakthrough,” said the inspector.A suspicious death case has been registered by the Gajuwaka police. Investigation is on.
