ONGOLE: As many as two persons were killed and eight others injured when the SUV they were travelling in rammed a parked truck on Chennai-Kolkata highway in Surareddypalem of Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday morning.
Police said P Jaya Saisekhar from Guntur married Nagarani of Ponnur on May 17 and went to Tirumala along with his family members and friends. While returning, they met with the accident when the driver lost control of the SUV and hit the truck at around 5 am. The driver and the passenger who died were identified as A Subba Rao, 35, and Padavala Kumara Sai Sankar, 33, respectively. The injured were admitted in a private hospital in Ongole.
Tanguturu police are investigating the case.
