MPTCs demand transfer of MPDO

GUNTUR: The MPTCs staged a protest demanding the transfer of MPDO on the MPDO office premises at Mangalagiri on Wednesday. They slept on the office premises on Tuesday night and called off their protest on Wednesday only after the assurance from ZP CEO V Nagarjuna Sagar. The MPTCs took bath outside the MPDO office on Wednesday. They alleged that the MPDO had not responded to their pleas to conduct general body meeting for the past 20 days, allot funds to take up development works and redressal of public issues.

The ZP CEO spoke to the MPP and other MPTCs in the MPDO office and promised to resolve their problems and submit a report to District Collector K Sasidhar for further action. He said the meeting would be conducted as per procedure and `2 crore fund would be allocated to take up development works in the villages. He also said a photostat copy of minute book would be given to them. 
MPP P Ratna Kumari said the ZP CEO promised to submit a report against the MPDO to the Collector for further action. MPTCs Ch Lakshmi and A Sesha Rao took part in the protest.
