3 arrested, property worth Rs 27 lakh seized in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh

 The police arrested three interstate thieves at Vinukonda and recovered 532 grams of gold ornaments, 4 kg of silver, four cars and two motorbikes worth `27.32 lakh from them.

GUNTUR: The police arrested three interstate thieves at Vinukonda and recovered 532 grams of gold ornaments, 4 kg of silver, four cars and two motorbikes worth `27.32 lakh from them.Disclosing this to newsmen here on Friday, Guntur Rural Superintendent of Police Ch V Appala Naidu said P Tirupati Swamy and T Malakonda Reddy of Podili in Prakasam district and G Chandrasekhar Reddy of Kadiri in Anantapur were arrested. 


Tirupati Swamy is an offender from his childhood and he had been involved in more than 100 theft and robbery cases so far. Malakonda Reddy who is also a former convict, is his friend. Chandrasekhar Reddy met the duo in jail in Anantapur. The three formed themselves into a gang and started committing thefts and robberies after their release, the SP said.
