KURNOOL: In a bizarre incident, three people — a 23-year old woman and her two sons — died when the car they were travelling in caught fire on the National Highway 45 near Battaluru village of Allagadda mandal in Kurnool district on Monday early hours.

The victims, identified as Vanita Bai (23), Prem Kumar (5) and Umesh (2), were travelling in a car from Rameswaram village of Proddatur mandal in Kadapa district to Nandyal in Kurnool when the accident happened. According to police, the car caught fire and driver Raja Prasad lost control over the vehicle causing it to cartwheel on the road and hit a road divider.
