'Happy' summit to make plans for Amaravati

Around 1,000 delegates from India and abroad are expected to take part in the 'Happy Cities Summit-Amaravati 2018' beginning at CK Convention Centre near the DGP office at Tadepalli.

GUNTUR: Around 1,000 delegates from India and abroad are expected to take part in the ‘Happy Cities Summit-Amaravati 2018’ beginning at CK Convention Centre near the DGP office at Tadepalli on April 10.

Its objective is to facilitate collective learning and a collaborative approach to formulating strategies for building Amaravati.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will release a socio-economic master plan of Amaravati during the three-day event and introduce capital region farmers to the global delegates to showcase their contribution to the construction of the capital city.

The meet would lay focus on the successful implementation of the Land Pooling Scheme under which the farmers made the noble gesture of giving their valuable lands.Emphasis would also be laid on the concepts related to pollution control and electric mobility in tune with the government’s vision to transform Amaravati into a world-class city.
