IAS officers association of Andhra Pradesh has condemned the MP’s action in naming and threatening vindictive action against the senior IAS officer.

Taking strong exception to the remarks made by YSRC Rajya Sabha MP Vijaysai Reddy against Special Chief Secretary Satish Chandra, IAS officers association of Andhra Pradesh has condemned the MP’s action in naming and threatening vindictive action against the senior IAS officer. A statement released by association secretary Shashi Bhushan Kumar reads,”The association place on record of Satish Chandra’s selfless service to the cause of the bifurcated State in building necessary environment to carry out administration from Amaravati.’’

Deploring the threat of vindictive action against the civil servant, the association appealed all political parties to desist from such irresponsible behaviour in demoralising civil service officials who are entrusted with challenging tasks.

Assault on Delhi CS

The association also condemned the alleged assault on the Chief Secretary of Delhi government by the MLAs of Delhi Assembly and demanded immediate arrest of all the perpetrators conspirators and supporters of the crime as well as their trial by a fasttrack court.

Assault on Chief Secretary is not only a criminal act but also an attack on the independence and neutrality of civil service. The fact that the incident took place in the presence of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister makes it all the more reprehensible, the statement said.
