Andhra Pradesh woman kills husband with step-brother’s help, arrested

A woman was arrested on Saturday for allegedly killing her husband with the help of her step-brother and his two other friends at Ramanayyapeta village in Kakinada.

KAKINADA: A woman was arrested on Saturday for allegedly killing her husband with the help of her step-brother and his two other friends at Ramanayyapeta village in Kakinada Rural of East Godavari district on Friday night.The deceased was identified as Rayudu Hari (32), a vehicle driver. He is survived by wife Bhanu Chandu and three girl children.

Police said that Bhanu had an extra-marital affair with her step brother Bhavani Prasad. When Hari learnt about their affair, he reprimanded his wife. However, even then Bhanu and Bhavani Prasad continued with their affair, police said.On Friday night, Bhavani Prasad told Bhanu that he would come to her house in the night to kill Hari. As per the plan, Bhavani Prasad, along with two friends, entered from the backdoor and attacked Hari with iron rods while he was asleep.

Later, Bhavani Prasad, along with his friends, took the body of Hari on a bike to a dumping yard at Ramanayyapeta. They burnt his body on a pile of tyres.On Saturday morning, some villagers who went to attend to nature’s call at an open place near the dumping yard, noticed the half-burnt body and informed the matter to Sarpavaram police.Meanwhile, Hari’s brother Rayudu Srinu lodged a missing complaint with Sarpavaram police.

An unusual bond
It was learnt that Bhanu’s father had two wives and Bhavani Prasad was born to his second wife. Before his death, Bhanu’s father had asked his three daughters to give the share in his property to Bhavani Prasad as well. During interrogation, Bhanu confessed to the crime. She told the police that Hari was a hurdle in her affair with Bhavani Prasad, so they decided to eliminate him.
