Andhra Pradesh: Tirupati Smart City works gain steam; tenders floated for various projects

Pradyumna announced that Rs 60 crore worth special package for Srikalahasti temple area development. This is in addition to the land acquisition and other schemes being implemented.

TIRUPATI: Tirupati Smart City Project management reported to Collector PS Pradyumna, on Friday, in a weekly review about the progress that tenders were floated for four rooftop solar Mega Watt power projects, purchase of e-Scooter, smart corridor draft, and underground power cable project.

Giving details of each project, Tirupati Smart City Corporation Limited Managing Director V Vijaya Rama Raju said that e-tenders have been invited for purchase of e-scooter worth Rs 2 crore, solar roof top power production for Rs 3.68 crore, Thanapalli cross to Alipiri smart corridor project worth Rs 430 crore. “A 27-km long under ground power cable project worth Rs 26 crore will also be taken up,” the TSCCL MD said.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector instructed the Municipal Commissioner to prepare plan for underground drainage system, roads in 11 wards which fall under three panchayats, which recently merged in the Municipal Corporation. The collector also increased smart classroom in 30 more schools in the town. At the same time teaching has to be modified, the Collector instructed the Commissioner to visit every school every week.

Rs 60 cr for Srikalahasti

Pradyumna announced that Rs 60 crore worth special package for Srikalahasti temple area development. This is in addition to the land acquisition and other schemes being implemented. Presently, Rs 94.18 crore had been allocated for 199 acres of land, house shop owners, but so far officials have paid Rs 51.86 crore compensation to 153 persons.
