ITBP to collaborate with Andhra University

The 56th battalion of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force has come forward to collaborate with Andhra University in offering degree, diploma and other courses.

VISAKHAPATNAM: The 56th battalion of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) has come forward to collaborate with Andhra University in offering degree, diploma and other courses. Commandant Chandramohan Misra, Commandant of the 56th Battalion of the ITBP, met AU Vice-Chancellor G Nageswara Rao on Thursday and held discussions for possible collaboration with Andhra University.

Andhra University has already entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Defence forces to offer PG, degree,  diploma and PhD programmes to their in-service personnel and has decided to start ‘Diploma in Yoga’ through distance mode to cater to the needs of the Defence personnel and employees. Now, the ITBP personnel are keen to join courses in Andhra University.

CM to visit Andhra University  on Aug 17

Andhra University Vice-Chancellor G Nageswara Rao has said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will visit Andhra University on August 17 and interact with about 10,000 students as part of the massive programme Gyanadhara, making Andhra Pradesh a Knowledge Hub. On Thursday, the V-C held a meeting with the registrar, principals, deans and officers to discuss preparations for the Chief Minister’s programme.  Pratibha Puraskar awardees, achievers in fine arts,

sports and other fields, students of IIM, IIPE, Damodaram Sanjeevayya National Law University, JNTU, campus colleges and affiliated colleges will participate in the Gandhara programme to be conducted in engineering college grounds. The CM, along with one International and eminent personality, will interact with the students. Also, an exhibition with different stalls would be conducted on the occasion.
