The jawan, who is a part of Kishangunj 139th Battalion in Bihar, purchased two-and-half cents of land from Chakari Anjaneyulu, but his cousin Sanjanna disputed the sale saying he had rights over it.

ANANTAPUR: A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was on Monday arrested for brandishing his revolver during a land dispute at Kukkalapally panchayat in Anantapur district. C Nagaraju of Tanakal mandal whipped out the licenced weapon when a few people tried to stop him from constructing a house in a disputed plot of land, police said.

The jawan, who is a part of Kishangunj 139th Battalion in Bihar, purchased two-and-half cents of land from Chakari Anjaneyulu, but his cousin Sanjanna disputed the sale saying he had rights over the plot.
Nagaraju managed to get an injunction order in his favour, but Sanjanna approached the High Court and got the injunction order stayed.

The jawan, who has come down for his vacation, attempted to begin construction work in the land but was stopped by Sanjanna’s sons. Their argument took an ugly turn when Nagaraju whipped out his gun and threatened them with dire consequences if they did not vacate the land and let him do as he pleased, Anantapur Deputy Superintendent of Police J Venkat Rao said. Police have arrested Nagaraju and seized the revolver and 50 rounds of ammunition from his possession.
