Central Industry Security Force cop says Machilipatnam rural police assaulted him

He alleged that the police kept him and his friends under illegal detention for four days.

VIJAYAWADA: A Central Industry Security Force (CISF) constable alleged that Machilipatnam rural police assaulted him and his friends and kept them under illegal detention for four days.

On Friday morning, members of the family of CISF constable D Naga Prasad and their advocate got him and his friends Prashanth Kumar and Gopi, released on bail from Chilakalapudi police station.  
“I went to Manginapudi beach on Monday along with my friends to see the beach festival,  organised by the State government,’’ alleged D Naga Prasad.

For reason, Chilakalapudi Circle Inspector Durga Prasad abused us in the name of my caste and attacked us when we sought an explanation for his rude behaviour,” he added.

He alleged that the police kept him and his friends under illegal detention for four days. However, police refuted the allegation and sais the CISF constable created nuisance by passing lewd comments on women at the beach festival and attacked the circle inspector.
