GUNTUR: Income Tax officials have conducted raids on the residence and offices of Telugu Desam party leader Kovelmudi Ravindra here on Monday.
TDP sources said, a team of IT officials conducted raid on the house of Ravindranth and other IT teams raided his guest house and offices.
Ravindranath is a senior TDP leader and owned petrol filling and gas filling stations. He is also the Secretary of the LVR club.IT officials were examining the accounts and other documents, sources added.
Ravindra confirmed that IT officials conducted raids on his residence and offices and examined the accounts.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, addressing officials through a teleconference in Amaravati, said that as long as the Telugu Desam Party was in the BJP-led NDA, no IT raid was conducted on TDP leaders houses and offices, but when it had quit the NDA, IT officials started conducting raids.
