BELGAUM: Three girls walked away with gold medals at the 11th annual convocation of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) here on Sunday.
Deepashri K R, a student of Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology, Chikmagalur, bagged 11 gold medals in BE Civil Engineering, while Gargy Ganguly, an Electrical and Electronics Engineering student from VTU, Bangalore, secured seven gold medals.
Megha B R of Bangalore’s BMS College of Engineering bagged five gold medals for securing the top spot in BE Computer Science and Engineering. She also secured the highest marks among the students of the engineering colleges affiliated to VTU. Speaking to the Express, Deepashri attributed her achievement to her efforts, blessings of her parents and God.
