MANGALORE: A young woman died after delivery at KS Hegde Charitable Hospital Hospital in Deralakatte on Sunday. Tension prevailed at the hospital premises after the incident. Sources from Ullal police station said that Sujatha (28)of Harekala village was admitted to the hospital on Thursday and delivered a female child on Saturday.
However, her condition was bad as she was bleeding continuously. But, doctors did not inform the patient’s relatives or allow them to meet her.
Around 9 pm, the doctors announced the death of the patient. The family sought the exact reason for the death from the hospital authorities and alleged that it was due to negligence of the doctors. Police intervened to bring the situation under control. A complaint has been lodged at Ullal police station alleging negligence of the doctors.
