MYSORE: Vishvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) special officer B Manju inaugurated a workshop on employability skills for non-placed final year engineering graduates.  

The event was organised by VTU Belgaum, regional office in association with Riiit, Mysore.

More than 20 engineering colleges with 5,000 students have been covered till date across Karnataka as part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity of the college. RiiiT CEO Venkatesh explained the importance of soft skills and problem solving abilities to IT graduates.  “BE graduates have to put in a lot of hard work to acquire skills to make their dreams come true. The intention of conducting employability workshop is to cover unreached students, especially from rural engineering colleges,”  Venkatesh said.

The workshop aims to reach to 6,000 final year engineering students to help them with skills to get jobs.
