BIJAPUR: Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chauhan assured a delegation from Karnataka of releasing two TMC water from Koyna in two days into the Krishna river. A team of Karnataka ministers led by Water Resources Minister Basvaraj Bommai met Chavan in Mumbai on Wednesday.

In a press release issued here on Wednesday, Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani stated that the  delegation called on Chauhan and demanded 5 TMC of water to mitigate the drinking water scarcity in North Karnataka. Nirani said that the delegation will meet Chauhan again to request the release of water from Unjani dam into Bhima river.
