BANGALORE: While the Karnataka State Pre-University Colleges Association (KSPUCA)  threatened to boycott the evaluation of PU answer scripts from Friday in support of their demands, a senior officer of PU Education Board warned of initiating stern action against those who will participate in the agitation.

The KSPUCA  with 12,000 members challenged the Board and said it was ready to face any consequence. The association has 12,000 members comprising lecturers and principals across the State. This boycott call was issued after Speaking to Express, Director of PU Education  Rashmi V Mahesh said, “The department is closely monitoring the situation and it will take stern action against those resorting to agitation. We are a professional body and we cannot resort to such threats. The lecturers have to respect the minister’s decision,” she added.

However, the association president Timmaiah Purle said they will continue with the protest. “The government cannot take us lightly. We are also ready for anything. Even if they are send us to jail, we are prepared for it,” he added.
