MYSORE: Kaulina Mary, a 20-year-old girl from Bangalore, was stabbed to death by one Japamali for not accepting his marriage proposal. The incident occurred at Vadara Doddi village near Maratahalli in Ramapura police station limits here.
Mary, who was studying in a college in Bangalore, had come to Vadara Doddi to attend a wedding on Sunday. It is said that Japamali, Mary’s relative, had proposed to her and was pressurising her to discontinue her studies and marry him. When she opposed this and said she would consider marriage only after completing her studies, an upset Japamali stabbed her to death.
The accused is at large. The police have registered a case and the probe is on.
