BANGALORE: The infighting in the BJP has hurt the feelings of its workers, which was evident when several district-level leaders expressed concern over  the sagging image of the party during a party office bearers’ meeting held here on Thursday.

According to sources, a few office-bearers openly expressed their displeasure and requested the party leadership to end the confusion as early as possible. “We are finding it difficult to answer to the people. If this continues, the party will meet with the same fate as it did in the Udupi-Chikmagalur by-election,” they said.

State BJP president K S Eshwarappa reportedly pacified the office bearers stating that the leadership issue will be solved in the next 15 days while asking them to concentrate on strengthening the party.

In order to assist the state government in drought relief works, BJP has decided to set up ten teams in affected areas. “The teams will submit a report to government and party,” said C T Ravi.
