SIRSI(Karnataka): A 32-year old Russian national today drowned in the sea at Gokarna, around 50 km from here, police said.
Pavel had ventured into the sea for a swim near the famous Mahabaleshwara Temple along with three others whom he had befriended on arrival in Gokarna, police said.
He was swept away by tides while the others managed to escape, police said adding the body of the Russian had been recovered.
