SHIMOGA: The Kuvempu University has planned to establish Students Film Society in colleges to encourage students to view movies with good message, said Vice-Chancellor S A Bari.

Inaugurating the MS Sathyu Film Festival organised by Shimoga Bellimandala here on Friday, he said the University will join hands with Bellimandala to take forward the initiative to establish Student Film Societies.

The discussion and dialogue after watching a movie would help to understand it from different dimensions, he added.The Kuvempu University celebrating its silver jubilee year and efforts are  made to take varsity activities to the people by active participation. The varsity joined hands with Rangayana, Shimoga, to encourage and nurture theatre activities.
