BELGAUM: A 25-year-old BCA student was found hanging from the ceiling of his residence here in the late hours of Saturday.

Fearing the ongoing examinations apparently forced him to resort to the extreme step. The deceased has been identified as Doyal Peter D’Costa, a resident of Church  Street. He was a fourth semester student of RLS College.

According to police sources, D’Costa’s friends said he was stressed for the last few days and claimed to be nervous about the examinations.

D’Costa is survived by his parents, two brothers and one sister. One of  his brother lives in Australia while the other lives in Kuwait along with their father. D’ Costa lived with his mother in Belgaum. He was alone in the house when he took the extreme step.

A case has been registered at Camp Police Station.
