HUBLI: “In the way the Censor board issues ‘A’ certificate to adult films, the Election Commission of India should issue ‘A’ certificate to the BJP,” ridiculed state Youth Congress president Rizwan Arshad.

Addressing party workers in front of the Mini Vidhana Soudha in Hubli, who were protesting the shameful act of the three ministers caught on camera watching pornographic clips during the Assembly session.

The indecent act has drawn severe criticism in the twin cities with several organisations taking out rallies. The district Congress organised a protest, while Congress workers took out a rally from Ambedkar Circle to Channamma Circle, where they staged a sit-in.

Rizwan said that ever since the BJP came to power, its ministers have been involved in unethical and illegal activities. Taking notice of these achievements of the BJP, the Election Commission should award it an ‘A’ certificate, he remarked.

Led by former minister A M Hindasgeri, the Youth   Congress submitted a memorandum addressed to the Governor, demanding the immediate disqualification of the three tainted former ministers.
