BANGALORE: Following a complaint by a Bangalore-based advocate against the three tainted former ministers who were caught on camera watching porn films during the recent Assembly session, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) directed the police to conduct a probe and submit its report by February 27.

ACMM Magistrate Kiran Kehny directed Vidhana Soudha Police Station Sub-Inspector to investigate and submit a report by February 27.

The complainant, advocate Dharmpal Gowda, alleged that Laxman Savadi, C C Patil and J Krishna Palemar had violated laws by watching porn films during Assembly discussion, which is considered a serious crime under sections 292 and 294 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

He added that the three former ministers had tarnished the image of the House. Police had the option of registering an FIR marking the formal beginning of a probe without the formal registration of a complaint.
