BANGALORE: CM D V Sadananda Gowda on Friday wrote to the Opposition leaders and presiding officers of both the houses of the state Legislature asking them to suggest names for the post of Lokayukta which is lying vacant for three months.
According to sources in the CM’s secretariat, the letters had gone to Opposition leader in the Assembly Siddaramaiah, his counterpart in the Council C Motamma, Assembly Speaker K G Bopaiah, Council Chairman D H Shankarmurthy and Chief Justice Vikramjit Sen asking them to suggest names before March 3. Motamma confirmed that she got the letter from the CM’s office but she had not gone through it yet.
